Best Cheap Gaming Laptop
Let’s say it right away: a laptop for gamers is a big investment. This section devoted to cheap models also begins in a price range already around 1000 $. If you want to get into the purchase of such a PC but your means are reduced, I invite you to consult preferably my guide dedicated to cheap laptops gamers. These models that I propose here have already enough to turn the most greedy games while being offered at a price that is still reasonable and offering a material quality and screen. With ever tougher competition in the entry-level portable gamer laptops, the quality of the models proposed by manufacturers is only improving from year to year. Here, I have selected the best cheap gaming laptops with the most outstanding quality/price ratios for small budgets.
1.Lenovo Legion Y530: the best very cheap
The first computer of my selection should not be unknown to those who are interested a little in the field of PC gaming, in the sense that it is the 2020 version of the very famous Y530. So of course, it is not, at this price, the most powerful notebook for gamers. Nevertheless, it is, in this area, the excellence of the entry-level, in that it avoids many pitfalls that are often found there: moderate temperature, beautiful finishes, and consistency in the choice of components. Level design first, the first thing that jumps in the eyes of connoisseurs of the Y530 is that the plastic bonnet is better billed and gives an impression of strength. Connectivity, it has been brought back, allowing better cooling of the machine. The rendering is a black and matte case, which gives a sober and elegant look, which is not often found in the PC gamer register. The 15.6-inch Full HD screen this time a welcome anti-glare during your intense gaming parties and avoids you to lock yourself in the dark like a vampire as soon as you want to give yourself a small part. The ratio edge/screen has also been optimized, which allows better visual comfort. On the other hand, know that if you are adept skype or streaming, the Webcam has been relegated to the bottom of the screen to optimize this ratio, which is not very flattering level shooting. Well, personally, I also do not find that it is most disturbing.
This model offers you an Intel Core i7-8750H (8th generation, which increases the speed of 10% compared to the 7th generation) combined with a GTX 1060 graphics card with a dedicated RAM of 6 GB, perfectly balanced thanks to a RAM of 8 GB, and offering a 1 TB hard drive and a 256 GB SSD. Level connectivity, this variant of the Y530 offers 1 HDMI port, 4 USB 3.0 ports, and a headphone input. These different ports are distributed at the rear, except two USB ports and the headphone jack, located on the sides for easy access. Finally, mobility level of the device, it is rather good: with only 2.2 kg and a 9.5 hours overall autonomy (obviously, if you perform intensive gaming, you can reduce this autonomy at least by two), it is rather easily transportable. In short, the Lenovo Legion Y530 offers very likely one of the best quality/price ratio of the moment among inexpensive gamer laptops. And if you have a tighter budget and you do not play games too greedy, the version on Core i5, almost 300 $ cheaper, could perfectly fill you.
2.Acer Predator Helios 300 (PH315-51-78NP ): Easy to upgrade
Among the Predator range from Acer, the Helios 300 series is one of the cheapest. It marks the will of Acer to also move, in its Predator range, to gamers with a more limited budget, while sacrificing the least possible performance. Level design, the regulars of Predator will be there. I particularly like the brushed metal effect printed on the plastic of the hull, which gives it a slightly more noble appearance. The 15.6-inch Full HD display is a nice surprise, with a higher color fidelity than the Lenovo Legion Y530. By cons, it lacks perhaps a little brightness if you like to play in room lit. The keyboard is rather comfortable, offering the ideal resistance to avoid errors while not being tiring to use. By cons, better to report it directly, it is proposed in Qwerty version. You could be destabilized by the positioning of the keys! Let’s talk about what’s in his stomach now. It offers an Intel Core i7-8750H (8th generation), combined with a GTX 1060 graphics card with a dedicated RAM of 6 GB, 16 GB of RAM, and a hybrid hard drive of 1TB and 256 GB SSD.
Connectivity level we have everything you need: 1 HDMI port, 1 Ethernet port, 3 USB 2.0 ports, 1 USB 3.0 port, 1 USB-C port, an SD port, and an audio/microphone output. Finally, it still remains very mobile despite everything it embarks: it weighs only 2.5 kg and can hold, in normal use, up to 7 hours. In the end, this PC could have obtained the first place of this section if it did not present this problem of heating. However, if we are warned and that we equip properly (with a good cooler, for example), it is an excellent PC gamer for a price that is still reasonable.
3. Dell Inspiron G3 15-3579: robust and powerful
Dell has released its G Series to offer an alternative to the prestigious Alienware range for players with a smaller budget. The G3’s design is not the most engaging on the market, especially when you know the work that Dell can do in terms of design, especially with its Alienware range. However, we have a sober and relatively elegant, which is more reminiscent of a notebook than a notebook PC gamer. But the main thing is the materials, and from this point of view, we are not disappointed. The plastic is visibly quality, the chassis is reinforced, and the hinges are robust. So you can carry it without worry, especially since it is relatively light with its 2.3 kg. The LED screen with its 1920 x 1080 resolution does not offer the best images, but allows, as I explain in my guide, better optimization of the power. The edges are a little thick, but that does not prevent a good immersion. The keyboard, backlit, is rather nice, as is often the case at Dell. In the version I propose to you, the screen is 15.6 “. It offers an Intel Core i7-8750H processor and a GTX 1050 Ti 4Gb graphics card.
For sound, it has internal speakers. The battery offers a battery life of almost 6 hours, which is honorable in the field of gaming laptops. Given its price reduction, the Dell Inspiron G3 today offers excellent value for money, without it being already considered outdated (far from it!). You can invest in it with your eyes closed.

Best mid-range gaming laptop
Here, we are just between the very inexpensive and the beginning of the mid-range. What to get affordable laptops, but with the necessary to run the latest games and greedy without worry. In this category are in my opinion the most interesting models, in that it offers the right combination of power to run all current games and not become obsolete in the coming months. We also make a leap in the material quality offered, with aluminum frames, a guarantee of strength and durability. When we turn around 1500 $, what can we expect? I focused on powerful, fast, and strong models.
4. Acer Predator Gaming Model – PH315-51-71FS: a monster of speed
Everyone knows Acer and its many products suitable for all budgets. The Taiwanese manufacturer offers (very) good and not so good, and in terms of gaming laptops, he has managed to make a name especially through its Predator range. The model that I am presenting here also came out in the fall of 2018 and is in some ways the improved version of the same model proposed a little over a year ago. It is therefore composed of more efficient components, and the practical side is that we already know that it remains good over time (the world of gaming advancing very quickly, it is sometimes difficult to step back on a device, because we barely had time to roam a little that the new version even more powerful comes out on the market). On the design side, those who know the Predator range will have no surprises: we find the famous black chassis with red highlights, with the opposition of logo (rather stylish) Predator. Its weight, it feels a little: 2.7 kg (I know, the difference with previous models is not obvious, but it begins to feel in the backpack!).
Its autonomy, it is undoubtedly its biggest weak point: 3 hours. We see that this computer was not designed to be versatile (it is not intended, for example, to be used for taking notes in progress), but only for gaming, mainly on a sector (what his we already suggested). Offering a lot of power thanks to its renewal, this Acer Predator makes it possible to run the vast majority of modern games without any worries and should perfectly meet the needs of more assertive gamers.
5. HP Omen 15: the best cheap
The HP Omen 15 has come down as evidence. Light, small, powerful, affordable: its qualities are many and its price very small depending on the version you choose. The version that I present to you here is the HP Omen 15-dc0044nf, which has the advantage of being rather recent (autumn 2018), which guarantees you good durability of compatibility with the current games. By its design, the Omen 15 tells us immediately its target audience: gamers. There is indeed a plastic shell of quality, with a grooved texture on the lid and around the keyboard, all in rounded shapes. But, above all, we find the keys of red colors, at the keyboard, and in the opposition of the logo on the shell, which is typical of gamer computers. The keyboard, chiclet-style, is very responsive, and backlit. The screen is again a full-HD with anti-reflective treatment, but the edges are more present than on the Lenovo Legion Y530. On the component side, here we have a 15 “display, an Intel Core i5-8300HQ processor, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB graphics card, and 8GB of RAM, with a hybrid hard drive: 1TB hard drive and 128GB SSD.
An Intel Core i5-8300H processor, a graphics card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 2GB, and 8 GB of RAM, a hybrid hard drive 1TB and SSD 128 GB. Connectivity, it is rather provided: there are 1 HDMI port, 2 USB 2.0 ports, 1 USB 3.1 port, 1 combined headphone/microphone jack, 1 RJ-45 port, and 1 multi-format SD multimedia card reader. On this point, this PC wins the sleeve against the Lenovo. Its weight of 2.4 kg makes it just as easily transportable. On the other hand, it is on the side of the autonomy that sins, with a maximum autonomy of 4.75 hours, half less than the Lenovo. In the end, it is a laptop gamer cheap (depending on the version chosen) but modern and competent. It is mainly on the side of his reduced autonomy that he sins since we are also talking here about the portable aspect. Nevertheless, it remains a safe choice.
6. Acer Predator Helios Model – G3-571-77QK: a beast of speed
So I come to the second Acer computer of our selection and this time, I highlighted the latest version of a model that has largely proven itself in recent years, the Acer Helios 300. The design is still that of the Predator range, nothing to complain about it. By cons, Acer has made a little effort on the side of the weight of the machine: 2.5 kg. This laptop comes under 15.6 “screen, which gives a good display, which combined with its other components, makes it an extremely fast and powerful machine, able to run your games more of 60 FPS and allowing you to stream without having to sacrifice graphics quality. Its processor is the Intel Core i7-850H (8th generation, so faster), and its graphics card is the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060. Its RAM is 16 GB and it has a hard disk SDD 256 GB with a possibility of extension. Connectivity level we have everything you need: 1 HDMI port, 1 Ethernet port, 1 USB 2.0 port, 1 USB 3.0 port, 1 USB-C port, an SD port, and an audio/microphone output.
Admittedly, it is one of the highest priced computers in this comparison, but it is surprisingly cheap for such a powerful machine. With him, I do not think any game will resist you.

Best high-end gaming laptop
Once the bar of 1200 $ passed, we enter the mid-range laptop pc gamer (the high-end cheap). These computers offer performance that can easily run almost any game with graphics to the fullest. Streaming is even conceivable, but it will sometimes be necessary to slightly lower the quality of the graphics involved. I had trouble deciding on this category. First, to filter the exuberance: I cannot see the point of talking about computers with more than 7500 $, and it is difficult to do better than some competitive models between 1500 and 2500 $ to justify such a jump in the price. So with the price-quality ratio in mind, I retained only one model, which in my opinion brings enough innovations to the market and has enough power to justify a price above average.
7. Gigabyte Aero 15X V8: the best high-end
The design of the Gigabyte Aero is probably what challenged me first: with its sober notebook look, it’s hard to believe that this is one of the most powerful gaming PCs of the moment. Its matte black aluminum coating is, in my opinion, the most beautiful effect. On the other hand, if you really want to add the “gaming key”, you are free to activate the RGB backlight of the keyboard. As with the Asus, the slight concavity of the keys allows a comfortable typing, and the optimization of the place allows the integration of a keypad more than welcome. The 15-inch Full HD display offers colorimetry that is perfect, and readable in all circumstances. Note that for the greediest of you, a UHD version is also available for investment a little more consequent. It also includes premium components: Intel Core i7-8750H (8th generation) with 6 cores, GTX 1070 Max-Q with 8 GB of dedicated memory, a RAM of 16 GB, a hybrid hard drive 1TB and SSD 512 GB. In short, it’s the best combo of my selection, while this model is not the most recently released PC on the market. Unsurprisingly, no current game resists him. And if ever, one day, that was not enough for you, know that it is quite easily possible to remove the bottom cover by unscrewing, to upgrade (a location is even already planned to add a RAM strip directly).
It is nevertheless much more than the Asus, and a performance to highlight in view of all that it embarks. The only flaw, finally one can really find it, is that it tends to heat up with use. It is closer, from this point of view, what can be observed with the MSI (so it is not too disabling, but better to provide a good cooling system if you want to see it last). In the end, it is not for nothing that this PC has earned a place in my selection upscale. Resistant, powerful, with a screen quality close to perfection, and a reasonable autonomy, it is a PC that you can use to run the most greedy games, but also for your current note-taking.
8. Asus ROG Strix Scar II: the tie Asus
Here is another model from a very well known range in the gaming world, Asus ROG. Design side, we recognize the leg of Asus, very famous for its very elegant looks, although I think the bright logo that stands out in the middle of the brushed metal is the most beautiful effect. The keyboard has, like the Razer, an RGB backlight. The slightly curved shape of its keys makes it very comfortable to hit. By cons, I’m less a fan of the military print, which gives it a look masculine enough in my opinion (I know that the world of sport is mostly populated with testosterone, but still). The 15-inch Full HD screen, like the MSI, offers a refresh rate of 144 Hz. It has very thin edges, except for the bottom one, where the webcam is located. As with the Lenovo Legion Y530, it is unflattering for the angle of view. On the component side, it integrates a Core i7-8750H processor (8th generation), a GTX 1070 8GB, a 16GB RAM, a 1TB hard drive and a 256GB SSD. In short, compared to the MSI, he lacks only the Max-Q. No current game resists him. Connectivity level, it is not leftover, with 1 HDMI port, 1 USB-C port, 3 USB 3.1 ports, 1 Ethernet port, 1 mini-DisplayPort port, an SD player and a headphone jack.
In the end, I really put it side by side with the MSI. What has tipped the balance in favor of the second are the lower mobility and lack of Max-Q of the Asus ROG Strix Scar II. Otherwise, level components, they are worth completely, and the Asus has the huge advantage of not heating up. I leave you free to judge what matters most to you.
9. MSI GS65 Stealth: the best high-range
The MSI GS65 Stealth is the first computer in my selection to offer an aluminum chassis, a guarantee of its increased strength. And it must be said that the overall design is successful, in that it combines a sober side and a side you’ve seen, with the golden edges on the hood. Sufficiently discreet as to take it to the library, but original enough that to stand out from your neighbors’ PCs. Its 15.6-inch Full HD screen is well balanced in colorimetry and has an excellent ratio compared to very thin edges. With a refreshing rate of 144 Hz, the visibility in play also withstands any test (almost zero remanences). On the other hand, its backlit keyboard is not the most comfortable in that it offers an extremely short response time and therefore an increased tendency to typing errors. Nevertheless, some prefer this type of configuration. On the performance side, it includes a 6-core Intel Core i7-8750H (8th generation) processor, a GTX 1070 with 8 GB of dedicated RAM, a Max-Q, 16 GB of RAM, and an internal memory of 1 TB with SSD 256 Go.
If I have a reproach to him, it is that it tends to heat a little too much for my taste. So I can only recommend that you invest in a cooling system adapted to the house. By cons, it is almost noisy, which is quite pleasant to use. In the end, it is an excellent laptop for a gamer, who will withstand all the games you submit, and which is very mobile despite its performance. This is, in my opinion, the best quality/price ratio of the moment in terms of PC gamer really powerful.
How to choose your best cheap gaming laptop? Buyer Guide
If you are looking best cheap gaming laptop here are some important tips. You want to become more active in gaming, but you cannot afford to invest in the latest beast of competing ‘exit on the market? No problem, I’m here to help you! Prior to your purchase, here are the points that need your attention.
With their performance components a bit confusing, their assertive design and their price (often) high, gamer laptops are from another world than conventional notebooks. But if you want to ship, for example, Creed Odyssey to a friend without having to move a tower, a screen, a keyboard, a mouse and a power strip in the trunk of the car, that’s the price to pay.
How much is the invoice? It varies between 800 and 5000 $. The weight between 1.5 kg and 9kg. In other words, there is something for all tastes and all budgets. But there are some key points to keep in mind, no matter what your final choice.
And if you really do not find happiness in my selection because of your limited budget, I invite you to go see my comparison dedicated to “cheap” gamer laptops.
If you want to be able to run games on your computer, especially recent games on the market, the criteria to be taken into account are obviously different than for a computer on which to take your course notes. Autonomy and mobility will more than likely be less essential criteria than the processor and the graphics card. Buying a laptop for gaming is not the same as investing in a computer on which to take your class notes. Some components need to be thoroughly examined so that your computer is able to run as many games as possible.
The risk, if you show too stingy on the components, is to have to reinvest in a new computer in six months, because the one on which you have made your choice will be unable to run the latest games on offer on the market.
Note, before anything else, that if you want to invest in a computer in order to play a specific game, it is possible to see on the Internet the minimum required configurations and recommended configurations. This saves you from investing in a device and discovering when finally installing your new game, that it is actually much more greedy than you thought.
The Processor (CPU)
The processor is somehow the heart, or even the brain of your computer, responsible for processing and executing the instructions you give it.
The processor is, for short, the heart of your computer, responsible for processing and executing instructions. The more greedy the game you use, the more powerful and responsive the processor will be.
You should know that the more powerful the processor, the more greedy it is. It is, therefore, an autonomy that takes a hit. You have to choose the right compromise between the power and the autonomy you need.
Note that an Intel processor is often the guarantee of fast performance over the long term.
But which processor to favor for gaming? It all depends on the games you play, and whether you are a casual player or what could be called a real geek. To do (very) simple, here are some tips:
For versatile use (office and casual gaming), a low-power processor from the Core i5 should do the trick.
For versatile use with more gaming, opt for a classic M, H or Q series processor, the most versatile being the Q Core i7
For pure gaming use, choose a Core i5 or i7 series M or H processor. The Quad-Core is favored because more and more games are developed to make the most of it. If you find a model 6 hearts affordable, it’s a jackpot.
For gaming and graphics use, I recommend a Core i7 Quad-Core Q or K series.
In my comparison, except when it was impossible for me (either this version does not exist or a more powerful version, for reasons of supply and demand, is less expensive) I selected the Core i5 versions computers retained. Thus, you have a base comparable also in price, and you to opt for the more powerful versions according to your needs.
Nevertheless, it is useless to invest in the latest ultra-powerful processor if you do not play big games. Before investing in a PC, check the minimum requirements for running your favorite game, and adapt accordingly.
Everything is relative, then, but I would tend to advise you, for a gaming use pushed, to turn to a processor Core i5 or i7 series M or H. If you have the means, you can turn to the Core i9, but at present, games that require such an investment are more than rare (it is usually reserved for streamers).
The Quad-Core is to favor because more and more games are developed in order to make the most of it. But if you find a model 6 hearts, or even 8, it’s even better.
The graphics card (GPU)
Level graphics card, the choice between NVIDIA and AMD is possible. I prefer, by habit and fidelity, NVIDIA, but AMD is also a mark of quality that is accessible.
At the moment, I would advise you to minimize a GTX 1050. A GTX 1060 is a good average, while a GTX 1070 starts to offer you really satisfactory results on games more nervous type FPS. Now, if you want something really comfortable in all circumstances the GTX 1080 is obviously an option of choice.
An Nvidia GTX 960 graphics card is really the base of the base. Below obsolescence has already arrived for a good part of recent games. For games that are more than a year old or resource-hungry, you can go down in the range (for an even lower price).
Note that, unlike the processor, it is sometimes possible, according to the PC, to change your graphics card if necessary (but I advise you, if you’re not a hacker at heart, to call a pro before opening your computer).
Well, I guess if you’re looking for a portable gaming computer, you want to carry it around and occasionally play wireless. So, autonomy is obviously a criterion to take into account.
Of course, the manufacturers always announce a certain duration of use. This is usually for a “classic” use: office, a little streaming, a little game … If you spammed your latest FPS, obviously do not rely on such autonomy.
The cooling system
To preserve all your components, a good cooling system is essential. If the computer does not have such an integrated system, invest in an external machine that plugs in, for example, via USB.
It is often overlooked on this accessory, which is essential when your machine is aging. Indeed, for having experienced the case, the heat produced by the components can rise so high that the welds melt.
It is possible that you meet this mention on the datasheets. Honestly, it’s more than interesting to watch, even if it is still often quite expensive.
This is a relatively new GPU design patented by NVidia, which significantly reduces the power consumption of the graphics card. Now, which means reduced consumption, says controlled temperature.
RAM is the RAM of your computer: it stores the information that your computer is actively using so that it can access it quickly. It depends on the computer’s ability to multitask and move quickly from one to the other.
It must be consistent with the rest of the components: if your processor is powerful but the RAM does not follow, it’s not worth it, your computer will be slow.
For gaming, it becomes difficult to navigate to less than 8 GB of RAM. But if you turn to a GTX 1060 processor or higher, I recommend you even 16 GB of RAM to take full advantage of all its advantages.
Far too often, cheap rhymes with cheap and insubstantial materials. How not to make you have?
Examine its composition. A black plastic (also very convenient to clean), sometimes lacks strength.
The aluminum, brushed or not, is on the other hand very solid and makes it possible to lighten the computer. Nevertheless, as it is a metal that is expensive to weight, it can quickly impact the price of your computer.
Also, check the flexibility of the hull: if it bends easily, you may see it break over time.
Opt for a keyboard with a good response. The chiclet keyboard (flat keys and well-spaced) will be more enjoyable for a gaming experience.
No need to opt for a keyboard offering to activate 30 keys at the same time. Unless you are a professional e-sports player, you will not use it.
Of course, it is useless to invest in a quality graphics card if the screen does not follow! Nevertheless, you should know that investing in a quality screen is usually an investment of minimum 1200-1300 $ (exceptions exist, of course).
But how to make sure that the screen is of good quality?
The resolution must be at least 1920 × 1080 (Full HD), with a refresh rate of 60 or 120 Hz. If it has G-Sync or FreeSync technology, it’s even better, especially for FPS a little nervous.
Some manufacturers put it forward saying that it is ideal for Candy Crush or other games rather mobile. However, in my opinion, it is above all a considerable drain of the battery, up to several hundred euros more on the bill, and a feature whose utility is generally limited to lovers of strategy games. See if you belong to it.
It is to this format that most manufacturers now seem to be looking after several years focused on the 17 inches. A model 17 inches, if it offers a better immersion, is obviously less nomad, being much more difficult to put in a bag, and often much heavier. So you have to see how important you are to the mobility of your computer.
It is tempting to crack for a Full HD screen or 4K / UHD (and indeed, with some games, it brings a big plus in terms of the graphic feeling). Keep in mind, however, that a conventional LED display saves you power since you require less power conversion to your power supply.
From a practical point of view, see if your laptop battery is removable or if it supports at least the simultaneous charge-discharge. The mobility of a laptop gamer being limited, you thus preserve your capital!
How much will you use on your computer? Are you really going to get on the train or the subway, or is it just to have a mobile station at home?
If you plan to walk miles with your laptop, try to pick one that is between 2 and 3 kilos maximum. Indeed, the more your laptop will be heavy, the greater will be the risks that you make it fall by fatigue or that you deposit it anywhere.
If you just intend to move from your living room to your room to watch the latest GoT, weight matters little in this regard. Do not be afraid to buy a monster since you will have to suffer this congestion only during a limited time.
You can buy an older model of a portable computer gamer if it opens easily, preferably with an access door allowing you to change the graphics card, RAM or motherboard in due time.
Be careful, however, when making this change, to check the compatibility of the components in place with the one you intend to install. Nothing is more frustrating than finally receiving the graphics card of his dreams and realize, once the ignition is launched, that it is not recognized.
Of course, if you find yourself here, it is that you are looking for a cheap gamer laptop. However, keep in mind that investing in a laptop at the reduced price is good, but it does not matter if it makes the device mediocre or obsolete within six months.
This is where I will disappoint more than one. Admittedly, it is possible nowadays to find quality laptops for 350 $. But for more intensive use in gaming, you must rely on an entry-level around 750 $ minimum.
This is usually the minimum price to put in relation to the components necessary for an optimal experience, and you will see it yourself by making a cost calculation: with the processor, the graphics card and the RAM, you easily reach an amount of 500 $ if you had to buy the pieces separately. Add to that the screen, the keyboard, the mouse, the chassis, plus the price of the OS if you want a Windows 10, the total can rise very quickly to more than 1300 $!
A good cheap gamer laptop is therefore usually in the range of 750 $ to 1200 $, depending on the desired characteristics. Below, you will have a machine already or almost obsolete. Above, you enter the medium or even high-end, for more luxurious options but often superfluous unless you are a (very) serious gamer.
It is tempting when we are ready to put a price, to crack for the PC offering the most powerful components of the moment. Nevertheless, I tell you again, you do not need to empty your bank account if you play only games greedy.
The key is first to check the minimum requirements for the games you play and those you plan to buy in the coming months, and to go, if possible, to the recommended configuration (always listed inside of the minimum configuration).
But other questions must also arise, especially around the mobility of your device. If you do not expect to pack it often in a bag where it’s likely to hit, models with plastic chassis such as the Lenovo Legion Y530 and the Acer Predator Helios 300 will prove resilient.
Otherwise, crack for an aluminum model can be a guarantee of conservation over time. And in this case, opt for a weight of less than 2kg, as with the MSI GS65 8RF or the Gigabyte Aero 15X V8 can be a wise choice.
As for the components, you will have noticed, it is often possible to find rather similar configurations for each PC. I invite you to determine what you absolutely need, select each PC in its version with this configuration, and then review the price.
They are all in a comparable range? The preference for a design or a brand can play here. Personally, my good experiences with Asus would probably lean me in favor of the Asus ROG Strix Scar II.
Dell XPS 15 2-in-1 : If mobility is a really important consideration for you, you should consider the Dell XPS 15: 1.8 kg, like a notebook and with an incredible autonomy of twenty or so hours in-office use, it features a Core i7-8750H (8th generation), a GTX1050 Ti 4GB, 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD.
HP Omen 17-an129nf: often considered, according to its version, as one of the best quality/price ratios for laptop gaming, the Omen 17 is also often a victim of its success. This version offers a core 6-core Core i7-8750H (8th generation), a GTX 1070 8GB, a 12GB RAM and a 128GB SSD. It’s a default? Its mobility, with more than 3 kg on the scale and its autonomy of 4 hours.
Alienware 17 R5: This is the 2018 version of Dell’s famous lineup, which features a Core i7-8750H 8th generation, 16GB of RAM, 1 1TB hard drive and 256GB SSD, 1 NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics card 1070 6 GB. Its weak point? Its lack of mobility with more than 4 kg and only 2 hours of autonomy. Moreover, Dell does not seem to have exploited all the overclocking possibilities of this new generation.
MSI GT75 Titan 8RF 091: If your budget is (really) high and you’re looking for the ultimate in gaming, here is one of the most powerful 17-inch models of the moment under the 5000 $ mark. It is this time a Core i9 he presents, with a GTX1070 8 GB, 32 GB of RAM and SSD 512 GB. Happiness for very big players who streamed their part (but otherwise, useless to crack the wallet !).
